A Streetcar named Desire (NT Live)

"A Streetcar Named Desire" tells the story of Blanche DuBois, a fragile Southern belle, who seeks refuge with her sister Stella and her brother-in-law, Stanley Kowalski, in New Orleans. Her carefully constructed image and past begin to unravel as she confronts the realities of urban life and Stanley's domineering personality. The play explores themes of societal pressures, the clash between old and new ways of life, and the destructive power of desire.

This is the Young Vic's 2014 praised adaptation of Tennessee Williams Classic Drama. Directed by Ben Andrews and Starring Gillian Anderson and Ben Foster.
