Third Tuesday Things from the Field - Groundwater and SGMA in Northern Sacramento Valley

Join us for our June Northern Sacramento Valley Third Tuesday Things from the Field event!

Join Dr. Thomas Harter, UC Davis Professor and Specialist in Cooperative Extension, as he breaks down basic groundwater and water balance concepts in relation to SGMA. He will also cover Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA), the Groundwater Sustainability Plan (GSP), and recharge concepts.

Justin Jenson, Deputy Director of Tehama County Public Works, will review some of the work done on the local GSPs and provide status updates on their current standing in the process.

After the overview of groundwater and SGMA topics, we'll open the floor to discuss issues and concerns from the field. Bring your questions, observations, photos, and more for an open forum of growers, PCAs, industry members, and farm advisors.
