Join the MO Dept. of Conservation (MDC) for basic still water kayaking lessons where you first learn tips for paddling and then set out to enjoy time on the Waterworks Lake in Rothwell Park! The MDC teach you how to fit and secure a life jacket prior to hitting the water.
Participants aged 13 and older are welcome to register; those aged younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult. One session is 10am-11:30am and the second session is 12:30pm-2pm.
Kayaks, paddles and life jackets (required) are provided. Please consider the weather and plan ahead for attire and water to drink. Closed toe shoes required.
