About The Instuctor:
Carrie Smith brings over 18 years of experience in teaching various partner dances. Her passion for dance was evident from the beginning of her career with Fred Astaire and Arthur Murray. After transitioning to independent teaching, she now offers her expertise along the East Coast. For the last 10 years, West Coast Swing has become her primary focus. The reason for this change in focus is the magic of combining freedom, connection and musicality that can be found in West Coast. Carrie teaches leaders and followers to understand movement, music and partnership. She's passionate about dance and loves helping her students reach their goals. She currently resides in North Myrtle Beach and can be often found teaching at the famous Ducks on main street.
