Native American River Blessing

A new age of environmentalism in Central Illinois calls for a ceremony! So many of us long for a closer connection to our past, and to the Earth we live on. We are humbled and proud to invite you to a special happening this July at Shore Acres in Chillicothe!

Led by local Native leaders such as Nate Muckintubbee, we will offer the river and the river spirits a prayer in Choctaw, smudge the crowd and invited special guests, and release offerings such as rocks, shells, flowers, (anything natural :) )

Guests may bring their own offerings and we will have some to provide!

All are welcome! Participation in not mandatory and all are welcome to observe!
