Magic of Moths

Come out to Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve to discover why moths constitute about 90 percent of all the Lepidoptera on the planet — not bad for a group of animals that flew with some of our most well-known dinosaurs! Join Dr. David Adamski and Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy to review and explore the most common moth families found in the Capital Region. After sunset, he’ll help us identify the moths that are attracted to his blacklight set up outside. Limit 30. Registration required.
