MEN'S SPRING WELLBEING WALK - Wylam and the Tyne Valley
The seventh month of our walks takes us to the historic village of Wylam, in the Tyne Valley. Renowned for its riverside setting and railway infrastructure, we will cross the much photographed footbridge (once a railway bridge) and on towards Prudhoe. Here we will loop across 'The Spetchals', a man-made chalk mound remaining from World War II.
NOTE: This will be the last before a summer break. There will not be a walk in August. The good news is, to mark the break, we will end the walk at The Boathouse Pub in Wylam for a drink and more conversation :)
Good company, good conversation and a supportive environment. We walk and talk as a group. Nobody gets left behind.
There are only two rules:
1. We stick together
It’s about the group and there are no prizes for being first back to the car.
2. No judgement
It’s a safe space to discuss whatever’s on your mind. But only if you want to.
Where: Wylam Public Car Park, Tyne Riverside Country Park, NE41 8LA
What3Words: ///lads.afflict.summit
When: Sunday, 6th July
Time: 09:15 meet for 09:30 prompt start
Distance: 4.5 miles
Duration: 2 hours (approx. depending on group pace)
Any questions, feel free to DM.
