Summer Reading Program: Adult Programs

The Summer Reading Program is for adults, too! We are excited about our adult programming for this summer. Activities will be in Gaines Park, weather permitting, unless otherwise noted.
On July 7, local artist Liz Yates will teach us how to “paint” with felt. Each participant will receive a felt painting kit with all the necessary supplies. There is a strict limit of 15 participants.
On July 14, we will be creating a colorful lighted jar using sea glass to cover it making a mosaic of color. All supplies will be provided. There is a limit of 15 participants.
On July 21, join us for a casual discussion with local artist, Tommy Brown. He will share personal stories that shaped his approach to photography, and walk us through his fascinating journey to becoming a photographer. No registration is required for this event, which will be held inside the library.
On July 28, join us as we all paint a (yet to be determined) picture using acrylic paints. Colleen will lead us through the steps to paint and create our own colorful picture as we sip “mocktails” and enjoy some snacks. There is a limit of 15 participants.
