MOTHS, BATS and GLOW WORMS

This is a combined evening starting with a chance to see moths coming to our special 'moth lights' from 9pm onwards, a walk across part of the reserve to listen (possibly see them) with 'bat detectors starting about 9.15pm and then retrace our steps back to the Yard area looking for the glow worms from about 10pm. The moth lights will be set up around the Yard area with ample car parking nearby. Vehicle entrance to the Reserve is on the Wivenhoe side of the railway bridge on the Alresford to Wivenhoe Road. The Event Parking is approx 300 metres through the gate along our track. Entrance is free. It may be useful for you to carry a small torch as we will be finishing in the dark.
