Bad Penny Pleasuremakers at The Abita Brew Pub

New Orleans-based Bad Penny Pleasuremakers, Matt Bell and and Joy Patterson, met on a blind date shortly after Hurricane Katrina and have been playing music and traveling together ever since. Their music is deeply rooted in, and influenced by, their New Orleans community, as well as prewar-era stringbands, ragtime, acoustic blues, country blues and traditional jazz—from Louisiana and beyond. The Bad Penny Pleasuremakers, as a band, is a collaboration of talented New Orleans musicians who love the early sounds of music coming from this region and just really love playing the good old good stuff together. You can catch them creating fun at multiple venues and festivals here in Louisiana, as well as around the world.
