Brian Bilston & The Catenary Wires

Formed by songwriters Amelia Fletcher and Rob Pursey, The Catenary Wires have released three albums and recorded a live session for Marc Riley and Gideon Coe. Their most recent album Birling Gap was highly praised by critics.
The band has been less active over the past three years because Rob and Amelia also play in Swansea Sound (two acclaimed albums, many gigs in the UK and the US, several radio sessions) and in Heavenly. Heavenly was Rob and Amelia’s original group. Re-releases of albums from the 1990s and millions of streams on Spotify led to a number of sell-out gigs in the UK, Europe and the US.
But now The Catenary Wires are delighted to be back, and have recorded a new album with poet Brian Bilston, which is scheduled for release in May 2025.
