We will start the day at milking time and everyone will try milking. You will meet our milking does, our bucks (billy goats) and a range of aged animals from years of breeding. We will look at housing options and how to make appropriate shelters; different types of fencing, including how to set up and use portable electric fence; moving your goats around; you will learn about feed and fodder options and practicalities; simple goat-health tips, breeding, kidding and weaning; disbudding and anything else we can come up with. We will make a simple fresh cheese together and you will take some home at the end of the day!

Lunch is included and I am limiting the group to 5 people so we all fit around our kitchen table! Food will be home-grown / made produce and vegi option possible (let me know ahead of time).
You need to bring CLEAN rubber boots and wear some kind of coveralls or wear CLEAN barn clothes you can take off when we go inside / make cheese. This is essential for biosecurity and hygiene.
