As part of refugee Week 2025 "Community as a Superpower" we are delighted to be hosting a talk by Shane Stevenson.
From 2019 through to July 2023, Shane Stevenson was the Country Director for an international development agency working in the Occupied Palestinian territory. With 70 national staff implementing economic development and gender focussed programmes, and providing humanitarian assistance across the West Bank, East Jerusalem and Gaza, he and his team faced numerous administrative, access, political and security challenges.
We invite you to join us for an informal talk on what it was like to live and work in Gaza, and share in a sense of life on the Gaza Strip prior to October 2023 and discuss the devastating impact of the last 18months of the conflict.
Shane lives with his family in Malmesbury.
All proceeds will be donated to AISHA, an independent Palestinian organisation that provides psychological, social, support through their womenβs centres in Gaza.
