We're over the moon to announce that Ryan Davis & The Roadhouse Band will be returning to the shop, playing live at 6.30pm on Friday 22nd August to support their new album 'New Threats From the Soul'.
Previous record 'Dancing On The Edge' was our unanimous Album of the Year here at SK Towers for its cosmic blend of pedal steel and drum machines, thrillingly offbeat lyrics and a disarmingly drawling delivery reminiscent of Lambchop's Kurt Wagner, Bill Callahan and the late, great David Berman.
'New Threats From the Soul' is due on 25th July and boasts a formidable cast of harmony singers Catherine Irwin (Freakwater), Will Oldham, Lou Turner, Myriam Gendron. Ryan plays End of the Road and Moseley Folk & Arts Festival this summer, along with a string of European dates with MJ Lenderman.
Entry is FREE but let us know if you'd like to attend, or pre-order a copy of 'New Threats From the Soul' from us to guarantee your place.
