Theft on the Moss Bank Express - Detective puzzle and train ride

There has been a 'Theft on the Moss Bank Express!' Someone has stolen the prize cake from the summer picnic! Can you use your detective skills to work out who dunnit? Join us on a detective puzzle hunt to find the cake thief. Hidden around the railway are 12 animals and the picnic items they have brought to the summer picnic. Cross off BOTH the animal AND picnic item from the suspect and evidence lists . There will be ONE animal left over - this is the Moss Bank Express picnic thief who stole the prize cake!!! When you have solved the crime you can claim your treats and train ride as a thank you!

Every child taking part in the detective hunt will receive:-

A small Sweet treat,
AND A Lucky Dip Prize
AND A Train Ride.

Important information:
The Hunt:
The detective hunt will take place from 10.30am and finish at 11.45am. We recommend you give yourself at least 30mins to search for the clues and solve the crime.
The ground can be uneven and/or muddy in places. Please wear appropriate footwear. We recommended welly boots if recent rain.
Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times during the detective hunt and remain your responsibility.​
At 11.45am the site will be cleared and site safety checks will commence prior to operating the trains.

The Train Rides:
Trains will begin running from approximately 12 noon.
Train tickets that are included in this event will be valid during the Theft on the Moss Bank Express Event Weekend, on Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th July.
Riders from the event will have priority but walk-ups to just ride the train are welcome at our normal price of £1 per ride.​

General:

Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times whilst on site and any dog poo cleaned up quickly.

There is no need to book in advance, just turn up and pay on the day. There are 200 children's spaces available for the Detective Hunt.​

The event will be cancelled if the weather is too poor and will prevent us from operating the trains. Please follow our facebook page for the latest event announcements.
