An invitation to the book launch of ‘Poems of Armenia’ by Liana Hayrapetyan and Peter Sutton starting at 4pm Sunday 6 July 2025 at Script Haven, 104 High Street, Worcester WR1 2HW. This will be a hybrid event and the online link will be posted here on the day.
Armenia seems to be in the news only when it is at war with neighbours, but it deserves to be much better known. It was the first state to adopt Christianity—before Rome—and can trace its history back to Ancient Greece, Babylon and Egypt.
Liana and Peter will read from their collection of poems and there will be a brief introduction to the history and culture of Armenia, surrounded as it is by Iran, Georgia, Turkey and Azerbaijan. There will also be a Q&A session during which you can discuss their collaboration to create ‘Poems of Armenia’.
