Another stellar line-up of musicians for our blues club night with The Swaps joined by local debutants Hokum and Hooch and Demi Marriner!
We are super-thrilled to announce the line-up for our November blues club – the second Wednesday of every month.
Regulars will know that these sell out very quickly indeed. Normally within hours of being announced.
Finalists in the 2025 UK Blues Awards, The Swaps are Beth Brooks (vocals), James Knight (guitar and vocals), and Adam Phillips (guitar and vocals). They have been honing their blend of blues, soul and folk for many years in different line-ups but have recently found the real magic (and national recognition) as an acoustic trio.
The Swaps build most of their music around Beth’s jaw-dropping vocals and the instinctive guitar interplay between James and Adam. The dynamics and variety of textures they achieve with only two instruments and three voices is astonishing. All three are songwriters, which perhaps explains the variety and exceptional quality of their material.
This month, they will be joined by two fabulous guests, local blues debutants Hokum and Hooch and D emi Marriner.
Hokum & Hooch are a bluesy duo created by Rikki Hansel & Rebecca Hallworth. Hokum & Hooch take you back in time to where the Blues began. A journey of timeless classics, forgotten songs, sad & funny stories all the way to contemporary blues & original pieces!
Demi Marriner is a rising star on the UK music scene and with good reason. Renowned for her heartfelt songs and captivating performances, Demi’s has a unique sound that isn’t easily pigeon-holed into any one genre. Expect an acoustic set of Americana and blues and you won’t be disappointed. A great musician, a great performer and one of our favourite singer-songwriters.
Demi is also a member of the chart-topping Elles Bailey band and can be found at all their dates across 2025 both in the band and opening the shows.
As ever, there will be an extended jam at the end, unrehearsed collaborations and the excitement of seeing talented musicians perform together for the very first time.
