2:00 - 5:00 PM on Saturday and 5:00 - 8:00 PM on Friday
Tuition: $78
Join us for this beginner-friendly, two-session class to learn the basics of the copper foil method of stained glass. Visit the Ely Folk School during open hours to pre-select your pattern and glass. You will be guided through glass cutting, grinding, foiling, and soldering. No experience is necessary. All are welcome, whether you're new to glass art or looking to refine your skills.
Practice between classes is encouraged, and you're invited to join us on Thursday morning at Makers Morning to continue honing your skills! All tools and materials are available as part of tuition fee.
About your instructor: Betty Firth has often felt like a magpie (or raven), attracted to shiny, beautiful things. She loves an abundance of colors and surrounds herself with as much color as possible whenever she can. She has particularly enjoyed working with color in pottery, fabric collages, weaving, beading, and watercolor, as well as stained glass.
