Foundation Paper Piecing (FPP) is a fairly simple technique used to create stunning projects with sharp angles giving the finished project a complex and bold look. The end product is a wall hanging that is used as an advent calendar. You can make small ornaments using the FPP technique or you can make/buy other items to hang on it.
Anyone can sign up, as long as you have some sewing knowledge, but space is limited.
Date: Saturday July 5, 2025
Time: 10:00am - 6:00pm (it is possible you might get it done by the end of the day, if not you will for sure be well on your way)
Location: Northgate Shopping Centre (location/space to be confirmed)
Cost: $50.00 (once you have paid your registration I will not be able to provide a refund. You can sell your spot to someone else but that will need to be arranged by you)
Supplies Needed: Material (see comments for suggested fabric requirements), sewing machine (an open toe foot will make sewing easier but it is not necessary), thread, rotary cutter, and a ruler with a clear ΒΌ inch line (I would suggest longer than 9 inches)
Supplies that will make things easier but not at all necessary: Add a ΒΌ ruler (available at Buttons), a medium sized cutting mat and pressing board with small iron to have at your sewing station to save time walking back and forth from the cutting table, sewing machine and iron, finally the Acorn Precision Piecing Pen (available at Buttons).
Food: Food is not provided, participants will be on their own for food.
