On Sunday, August 10th at 10:30 AM, join us at St. Andrew’s United Church (85 William St S., Chatham) or online via Facebook Live as we continue our August series Holy Disruption with a service titled “Disrupting Exclusion.” We’ll turn to Isaiah 56:1–8, a radical and ancient proclamation that God’s house is a house of prayer for all people—including those the religious gatekeepers once cast aside. Long before modern conversations about inclusion, scripture was already lifting up those considered "other"—specifically naming gender non-conforming people, like eunuchs, and declaring their sacred worth and belonging. This isn’t a new idea. This is old, holy ground we’re walking on.

Together, we’ll reflect on how Christianity was always meant to be radically inclusive, and how systems of power—not God—have distorted that vision. In a world where queer and trans folks are still being pushed to the margins, this work of reclaiming spiritual space and voice is as urgent as ever. Whether you’ve been hurt by the church, are longing for a community that affirms your full humanity, or simply want to explore a faith rooted in justice and love—you are welcome here. Come disrupt exclusion with us.
