The Aliens V's Trail Runners Daylight Trails event is either a full or half marathon run in the beautiful surroundings near Rendlesham Forest a favourite destination for runners, mountain bikers and UFO's. Both of the races are narrative trails, no markings just a combination of written instructions & GPX. The route is 95% off road on a wide variety of terrain. For your safety you will be expected to run with a mobile of the same number that you have left with registration. There will be 2 checkpoints for the Half and 4 for the Full, these will be full of treats as well as coke, water and squash. This is a cupless event, if you need a reusable cup visit our website.
The Prices
Half Marathon £23/£25
Marathon £33/£35
The races will start at 8.30(Marathon) 9.00am(Half) on Sunday 12th Oct.
Registration will open at 7.30am, where you will collect your numbers and timing chips.
Race Briefings, both races will have a safety briefing 5mins before they are due to start.
Refreshments, There will be 2 checkpoints for the half and 4 for the Full all will be loaded with snacks and goodies, water, squash and coke. We are a cupless company, if you need a reusable cup visit our website.
Fancy Dress, while this is in no way compulsory, for those that really want to get into the 'Alien' theme, why not :)
Prizes, there will be medals for all finishers as well as prizes for 1st,2nd,3rd male and 1st,2nd,3rd female of each race.
The races will be run under permit from The Trail Running Association (permit number TBA)
Bags will be able to be left at the start/finish area, there will be someone there at all times.
Timing will be from the gun. Please ensure your number is clearly visible on your front. Also be prepared to shout your number at the finish if requested. We are aiming to post the results on the web later the same day.
Race rules
Please do not pass your number to anyone else.
You MUST report to the race organiser if you are abandoning the race.
The use of personal stereos, MP3 players. You need to be fully aware of what is going on around you at all times. This is for your safety, the safety of your fellow competitors and the safety of the public.
In the event of a withdrawal there will be a 50% refund until 9th Aug 2025. After this date there will be no refunds. There are no deferrals for these events as deferrals impact negatively on the following years event. Places can be transferred until 2nd Oct 2025.
We would welcome any volunteers to help on the day. If you know of anyone please ask them to email the organiser
