Beginner-Advanced equine enthusiasts ages 5 and up are welcome to attend our camp sessions!
We offer a variety of half and full-day camps throughout the spring and summer holiday breaks. Daily riding schedules are organized by age, experience level and discipline.
Not only will our riders have personal instruction each day, but will also learn how to properly care for a horse as if they were their own! Those with previous experience will be offered instruction time focused on their disciple choice; hunter, dressage, and/or cross-country. All riders are given the opportunity to ride the horses into & through our freshwater pond (climate pending) or opt for a bareback riding experience, as a secondary ride towards the end of camp day.
(Life jackets will be required and provided.)
There will be two outside clinicians per camp session. Details will be posted 30 days prior to the camp start date. (For example; a demonstration and hands on experience with an equine dentist, blacksmith/farrier, and/or a specified discipline instruction; (ex. foxhunting, western pleasure, vaulting, breaking and starting young horses.) Campers will participate hands on pending clinic type.
Safety is our number one goal.
Riders are asked to bring a bag lunch every day. Pizza is provided on Fridays!
*Please make note of any allergies or diet requirements on the registration form, we are happy to make special requests!
Campers should have paddock boots or tall boots, riding pant/breeches/thick leggings/ stretchy jean and a change of comfortable clothes. (Shoes with a flat sole are not ideal when riding, a small heel is required for safety precautions.)
Paddock boots are sufficient for all ages and are available on Amazon or at our local tack store. We recommend Partner’s Shop @ Kentucky Farms, located off Oriana Road in Yorktown.
Helmets are provided or riders can bring their own. Helmets must be up to date and approved ASTM/SEI certified. (*Any helmets that may have suffered a fall, are unacceptable.)
YS T-shirt’s and other YS gear is available by special order. (See any staff member for details.)
