Let your creativity take flight in this joyful, hands-on class where you’ll sculpt your very own fun, funky folk bird from fluffy tufts of wool! You'll have a choice to create a standing bird or a bird on a cozy nest. Led by Sonja Oswalt, an award-winning fiber artist and experienced teacher with over a decade of felting instruction across the country, this workshop invites you into the colorful world of needle felting—a whimsical twist on one of the world’s oldest textile arts.

About the Instructor
Sonja Oswalt has been working with wool since 2012. Her works range from 3-dimensional animal replicas and fantasy figures to 2-dimensional landscapes and portraits, to clothing, purses, and hats. Sonja is largely self-taught, though she has participated in workshops with renowned felt-makers worldwide. Sonja works on commission and via her ETSY online store. Her store, the Baad Hatter Felt Hats and Fiber Arts, reflects the whimsical style of much of her work.
