Predators v. Prey - Upper Elementary/Lower Middle School

Join Kritter Scouts for an interactive lesson on predators and prey! This is geared towards 8-12 year olds but all are welcome (if you think they can join) 💚 Come learn about the hunting and hiding techniques of our native animals!

🐆🦌We will meet by the playground.

Time: 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM (Optional extended care until
11:00 AM for an additional $5-10 depending on number of students)

We’ll kick things off with an open discussion on what a predator is in comparison to prey.🐰🦊

💛🔎After "identifying" these characteristics we will go through a list of animals found in Florida and determine if they are predator or prey and brainstorm ways the might hunt for food or hide/flee!

Students will then choose an animal to be in an interactive tag like survival game (Predator v. Prey) ⛳️💪🏼

🎨To wrap up our time students will make an animal themed craft inspired by what we’ve learned!

RUNNING SHOES or shoes they can move in👟
Water bottle 💧
Packed snacks if staying for aftercare 🥪
