Cosmeston - Lavernock - Sully History Walk (Glamorgan History Walks 2025)

This walk is a real Kaliedoscope of history. We take in the red rocks of the Vale’s Jurasic coast so keep your eyes peeled. People are always finding fossils and dinosaur footprints in them. We pass Sully Island which boasts ancient burials and an Iron Age fort, Lavernock point with its gun battery and first ever radio transmission. Then onto medieval Cosmeston replite with replica village, lake and more. We also end at a pub with a pretty gory bit of folklore attached to it. May be I could be persuaded to tell the story!

Tickets are £10 per adult and children 16 and under go free so a great way of introducing them to our fascinating local history.
