Aberthaw - Fonmon - Rhoose History Walk (Glamorgan History Walks 2025)

This walk follows roughly the boundaries of the Fonmon Castle estate. We start and finish at the wonderful Blue Anchor supposedly established in 1308. Then up to the baronial castle itself (although we do not go inside). Then through the quaint village of Fonmon and onto the most southerly point in mainland Wales. Finishing up at Aberthaw, once one of the busiest ports in Wales.

Tickets for adults are £10 but children 16 and under go free so this is a great way of introducing them to our fascinating local history.
