1. Is there an admission fee for the Canada Day Melfort community celebration?
No, the event is completely free and open to everyone!
Food and concession items will be available for purchase.

2. Where is the event?
The afternoon activities will take place at the Melfort & District Museum, followed by an outdoor movie at the grandstand at the Exhibition Grounds at 7 pm.

3. Do we need to bring anything?
There is plenty of seating in the picnic area, but you’re welcome to bring a lawn chair for extra comfort.
Don’t forget sunscreen and bug spray!

4. Where should we park? Is there accessible parking?
Parking will be available at the Melfort Exhibition Grounds.

Parking attendants will be on-site to help guide vehicles requiring accessible parking near the Melfort Ag Society office. This is close to the museum’s south gate, which will serve as the main entrance for the event.

5. What is the schedule for the day?

2:00 pm – Opening Ceremony
2:00 –6:00 pm – Family fun and live entertainment
4:30–6:30 pm – BBQ (cheeseburger, drink & ice cream for $10)
7:00 pm – Outdoor movie, The Wild Robot, at the grandstands

6. Will there be food available?
Yes!

The Melfort Pathfinder/Ranger Travel Group will be running a concession all day with drinks, cotton candy, and chips, and selling popcorn at the movie.

The Melfort & District Museum and Canada Day Melfort will host a BBQ from 4:30–6:30 pm, offering a cheeseburger, drink, and ice cream for $10.

7. Do I need anything for the movie?
You can sit in the grandstands or bring a lawn chair to relax on the grass. A blanket
