Native bees with Master Gardener Lesley Mack

There are more than 3,600 species of native bees in the United States, which have co-evolved with our native plants over the millennia of plants and pollination. As efficient as honey bees are at gathering and transporting pollen to the hive, they are
not adapted to forage on all flowers. That is why Native Bees are so important and do so much more. The evolution of bees, the dangers they face, and what steps you can take to help bees are presented with Master Gardener and Birdsong Pleasure Garden owner, Lesley Mack, during her presentation at Massanutten Country Corner.
