Want to explore local waterways but not sure how? Do you enjoy exercise, the outdoors, teamwork, and meeting like-minded people? Join the Saunders Finger Lakes Museum as we explore the lakes, rivers, and canals of this beautiful region through Community Rowing in our St. Ayles Skiff.

Community Rowing in ocean skiffs is a safe, stable, and accessible way to learn to row in a supportive environment. Our series around the region will give participants a chance to ply the oars, take in the beauty, and maybe sing some shanties along the way.

Benefits of Community Rowing include:

- A whole body workout
- A chance to be part of a crew
- Exploring local waterways in a new way
- Learning a new skill
- Enjoying no-emission travel

This exercise in teamwork is designed to give participants an opportunity to try rowing in our locally built St. Ayles Skiff. While it’s an internationally raced class of ocean rowing skiffs, this series will be leisurely and non-competitive. No experience necessary. Sign up for a 90-minute experience by yourself or bring your own crew! Coming soon to a waterway near you!

(Must be twelve or older to participate; minors ages 12 to 17 must be accompanied by an adult)

Program times:
1:00 - 2:30 PM
2:30 - 4:00 PM
