VIOTTA Symfoniorkester

VIOTTA Symphony Orchestra is one of the five orchestras of the Viotta Youth Orchestras Association (www.viotta.nl). Viotta was founded in 1989 in the Hague, the Netherlands. Viotta has more than 250 members in the age of 5 to 21 years old, of which about 60 are playing in the most advanced orchestra, called the Viotta Youth Symphony Orchestra. Performances abroad and collaborations with other young orchestras are regularly undertaken. In the summer of 2025 the orchestra will give four concerts on their summer tour to Germany, Denmark and Sweden. By playing in an orchestra Viotta aims to provide a challenging environment for children to follow their passion and to encourage them to further develop their musical skills. A broad variety of musical styles of the classical repertoire is performed in various concert halls in Holland and abroad. Viotta is one of the best youth orchestras of the Netherlands and has often won prizes at international competitions. Each year Viotta is asked to accompany a finalist of the Princess Christina Competition (www.christinaconcours.nl).
