Midwinter Solstice – Sand Art Workshop
Timed with the shortest day of the year and signaling the arrival of Matariki, Mount Maunganui is set to host a vibrant Midwinter Solstice celebration across three days.
Throughout the Matariki holiday long weekend, from Friday 20 June to Sunday 22 June, our slice of paradise will come alive with a series of free pop-up events celebrating community through reflection on seasonal and spiritual renewal.
Join Kenrick from Rake Healing for a one hour Sand Art Workshop. Learn about Kenrick's journey with Mental Health, mindfulness and finding calm at the beach.
This is a great event for all ages, learn how to do large-scale drawings in the sand. All equipment provided.
Workshops start on the hour at 10am, 11am and 12pm.
