Presenting...Live at Lithgow! Thanks to the support of the Friends of Lithgow Library, we are hosting a concert series this summer! The concerts are free, but donations are greatly appreciated 😊
All concerts start at 6 p.m. in the Community Meeting Room. Please note that there is limited seating and standing room.
Here is the schedule:
7/10: Jon and Li Waterman presents: Popular Music and Veterans:
Songs, history, and an accompanying slideshow pertaining to some of the experiences of veterans of World War I, World War II, the Civil War, and other conflicts alongside the history of popular music in America.
7/17: Don and Cindy Roy, Franco-American Musicians:
Music deeply rooted in two strains of Franco-American tradition –
Quebecois (from Canada’s Province of Quebec) and Acadian (from the Maritime provinces of Canada) – significant to the heritage of New England’s robust French-Canadian communities.
7/31: Route 66 Band:
Playing songs from the early history of rock ‘n’ roll music. What was the first rock ‘n’ roll song? Come and find out.
8/7: 2nd Chance UKE Band:
Six strummers (and a bass) who perform pop, Hawaiian, ballads, country & jazz, all with the intention to share joy!
