In partnership with Third Thursday, Chalk the Town is a public event designed to spread positivity and kindness in the community.
Open for ALL ages! The main activity is a “scavenger hunt” where participants will be chalking a positive picture/ message at designated locations to win prizes in the end.
START at DCI park, find our table, and we will give you everything you need to get started!
Chalk the Town originated in 2023 when I, Kara, was told by my former landlord that drawing with chalk was disrespectful (I was drawing Pokemon and Disney characters) My conversation with said former landlord went viral gaining over 32M views as the public was appalled by the negativity and harsh comments from my former landlord. The Hutchinson community went above and beyond to support me!! Chalk the Town is designed to give back and emphasize how important it is to be kind and positive!
