Your life is a story, one that needs to be shared. As part of a community your memories help to recreate and keep a community alive. Dr. Deborah A. Abbott, PhD, a lifelong researcher of family and community history, will present how we each have a story and how to find information about the life we have lived through books, photos, newspapers, maps and more.
As part of the partner exhibit with the Peoria Historical Society, Place and Displacement: The History of Urban Renewal in Peoria’s Southtown, photographs of homes, business, churches and more from Southtown will also be on display at the library.
Join us in person for a "watch party" and refreshments in the Main Library Auditorium, or join us on Zoom at home.
Register for the presentation - the confirmation email will have the library address and the Zoom link.
Free and open to all.
