"The Ladder" is a grounded sci-fi story that explores the emotional and ethical weight of innovation and changing family dynamics as you age. Set and produced in Ketchikan, Alaska, the cast features authentic local actors and was written and directed by a 25 year-old filmmaker who grew up there.
Following its world premiere at the Fargo Film Festival, the film took home Jury Awards for Best First Feature and Best Editing at the OKCine Latino Film Festival, a Copper Wing Award at the Phoenix Film Festival, and won Best First Feature at the WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival. "The Ladder" now screens on the East Coast for the first time later this month.
