In this class students will be provided all materials and supplies to make their own art papers using the eco print process.
Eco printing, a form of natural dyeing, is an ecologically sustainable form of steam contact printing with plant material on natural fiber fabrics or paper. No inks or paints are used, all the color and pattern you see comes directly from the leaves and other plant materials.
We will use high quality premordanted watercolor paper to make 20 4″x6″ eco printed papers that you can later use in your own art projects. Each student will receive a set of instructions so you can repeat the process at home.
