Now announcing the music lineup for 2025:
Contraptions
Contraptions is the DIY punk rock genuine article. This four piece invokes bands like The Descendants and The Leaving Trains but with a twist. Longer instrumental sections start the trance, to then be punctuated with vocal attitude, anger, sarcasm and perhaps a sense of frivolity. Contraptions may not have been hastily thrown together, as the name would imply, but caution may be recommended.
The Bronswik Affair
The Bronswik Affair delivers a healthy helping of melodic, cathartic, energetic rock n roll. Drawing on power pop, guitar-driven riffs, British invasion melodies and an overall indie vibe, these four local music veterans serve up catchy hooks, soaring choruses, dramatic dynamics and the perfect party attitude. Life is short, experience the Bronswik Affair!
Two and a Half Stars
Two and a Half Stars plays crunchy, catchy, and clever compositions, paired with an energetic and dynamic stage show. Surfy, trippy, fuzzy and frantic, this band will keep your attention!
Louie & the Flashbombs
Both cornerstones of the Milwaukee music scene, the Louie Lucchesi and Mike Benign partnership takes their collaboration to a new level with Louie & the Flashbombs. Expertly crafted songs get a superb treatment from crackerjack band veterans while also bringing a sagacious energy that comes from decades of intense work. It is a rare kind of musical glue that is their Je ne sais quoi. The sextet includes some well known faces: Paul Biemann on bass and vocals, drummer Bo Conlon, Al Hildenbrand on guitar and vocals and Matt Meixner on keyboards and vocals.
The Truck
Equal parts punk, blues, country and metal The Truck unleashes music to wrench to, and to rock to! Giving a real hillbilly mechanics vibe, these boys apply spanners directly to their guitars as they crank out anthem after rust belt anthem. If AC/DC, ZZ Top and a lap steel guitar had a mutant baby, that might be The Truck. All high caliber musicians, The Truck also features world class steel steel guitar touring musician Jeff Hamiltion. Don’t miss this one!
The Dirty Sweet
The Dirty Sweet’s infectious blend of hard rock, Americana, and power pop recalls the raucous spirit of the Replacements and hook-laden anthems of Cheap Trick. They have the ability to infuse the past with the present to create their own unique sound. Great melodies, beefy guitar riffs, and wondrous harmonies are all draped in impassioned, lyrical tales of late nights, love, and rock and roll.
Also, from our local underground radio station, a local legend in his own right, Buzz from WMSE's Buzz's Garage, is spinning hard hits between bands, for anyone outside the status quo. Spinning the cool from his personal music collection by snarly punks, guitar hustlers, raunchy weirdos, chooglin’ rockers, musical outcasts and trash rockers from the US and elsewhere. Not just a show, a party -- and everyone’s invited!
