After retiring as a law professor, Betsy wanted to take up gardening but had not inherited her mother’s green thumb. To gain a better understanding of gardening principles, she became a Maricopa County Master Gardener. Betsy gardens exclusively in containers and loves to teach the topic at the Home and Garden Show in Phoenix. She is a “budding” poet and has amused her training group participants with a lot of gardening limericks, haiku, and poems.
