East West Climb Fest 2025

Get ready! It's time for another East West Climb Fest. This year we are expanding to include the Canterbury-Westland section of the NZAC. We aim to foster the bond between members of the Canterbury Mountaineering Club (CMC), the West Coast Alpine Club (WCAC) and the New Zealand Alpine Club (NZAC-CW Section) in our shared tūrangawaewae – Arthur’s Pass National Park. We have the inimitable Dr Jaz Morris - rock, ice and alpine climber (and terrestrial ecologist) as our guest speaker.
For only $60 you get two night of accommodation, Friday night refreshments, Saturday night dinner, an entertaining evening function, and great vibes!
This year we're aiming to run a couple of pre-organised, accessible group day-missions. Other objectives will be self-organised and we'll facilitate a bit of whakawhanaunga on Friday night to help people make friends, share plans and team up for similar objectives.
