MAKE YOUR OWN SHRINK POT

Who doesn't love a new pot? In this workshop, we'll guide you through the process of making a wooden shrink pot of a type believed to have originated from the Viking age, and used then to store dry goods; you can use yours as a holder for kitchen utensils, pencils, or anything else you fancy!

Starting with a piece of green wood, you’ll hollow out the log using a drill, chisels and hook knife, and then fit a dry board to make the bottom of the pot. Over a few days, the branch will dry and shrink around the bottom piece.

No experience is necessary. All tools and materials will be provided. Please bring your own packed lunch.

Green Aspirations Scotland CIC is a social enterprise based in Stirlingshire, committed to reconnecting people to the environment.

This workshop is £80 for the day. To book visit the Old Mill Killin and pay at desk, or pay over phone 01567 820628 in opening hours. For info email cmFpbmEgfCBraWxsaW5jZHQgISBjbyAhIHVr
