Join Laura Stanton, OSU Extension Educator, and Melissa Proffitt, Warren County Soil and Water Conservation District Education and Communications Specialist, for a relaxing wellness float down the Little Miami State and National Scenic River. Like our Wellness Walks, this Wellness Float will be slow and peaceful, perfect for a Monday morning. We anticipate it being approximately a 2-hour float.
We’ll meet at Mathers Mill for introductions and safety information. Then, we will float down the river in a group. Please join us for a healthy dose of exercise, fresh air, nature, and friends! This float will be held in the rain but will be cancelled if there is severe weather predicted or if the river conditions are not conducive for a safe float. A cancellation note will be posted on our website and Facebook page.
Important Trip Information: We will use single kayaks provided by WCSWCD. They have 9 sit-on and 9 sit in kayaks. You will have help getting in and out of the kayaks. Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes that can get wet and dirty. Bring water and protect yourself from the sun and insects. Oars and safety vests will be provided.
Registration and Questions: Please contact Laura Stanton, FCS Extension Educator, at 513-695-1311 or email: c3RhbnRvbiAhIDYwIHwgb3N1ICEgZWR1 to reserve a kayak. More detailed information about parking and the float will be sent once you are registered.
