Baker Lake Sockeye Derby

Join us for the Baker Lake Sockeye Derby, brought to you by CCA, Puget Sound Energy (PSE), and WDFW. With a preseason forecast of 60,000 sockeye returning to the Skagit River system we anticipate some great sockeye fishing. The season is scheduled to run from July 12 to August 31 with a 6-fish daily limit per angler*. Catch a tagged fish and you’ll be eligible to win prizes at our end of the season gathering (more details to come). Approximately 250 sockeye with tags will be placed in the lake at various times and locations. After the season closes, CCA will randomly draw prize winners from all eligibly submitted tags. Prizes will range from cash prizes to several fishing-related prizes, as well as a prize for the best submitted picture.
