WHAT'S IT ABOUT?
Join the celebrations for Gloucester Day and learn all about the docks and their role in history from Roman times through to the present. This event includes a visit to the National Waterways Museum, parades and street entertainment, a walking tour of the harbour with an expert guide.

The town will be even more vibrant than usual for Gloucester Day - a celebration of the lifting of the siege in1643. There will be parades, street stalls, performances and historic vessels.

Gloucester has recently become a Heritage Harbour so come and find out why this place is so significant in our maritime history under the guidance of official Civic Trust tour guide Tony Condor.

PROVISIONAL TIMETABLE
10am explore the National Waterways Museum and Gloucester Day activities (details coming soon)
Lunch at your own expense
2pm walking tour of Gloucester Harbour
5pm day end.

COSTS
The £15 covers the walking tour
Museum entry fee is an extra £9-10/person

NAS members earn 2.5 credits for attending this event and participating in the discussion.

TRANSPORT
It is recommended that attendees catch the train to Gloucester to reduce the environmental impact of their visit. Also, parking will be limited due to the Gloucester Day festivities.
