Celebrate Armed Forces Day at Lydiard Park – Honouring 80 Years Since WWII’s End
Join us this summer at Lydiard Park for a special Armed Forces Day celebration commemorating the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
Hosted by Swindon Borough Council with support from local Armed Forces organisations, this free event is a heartfelt opportunity to show appreciation for our Armed Forces community – including current service members, veterans, cadets, and their families.
The celebration marks the grand finale of a week of national tribute beginning on Monday 23 June, where people across the country come together to recognise the courage, commitment and sacrifice of those who serve.
Expect a day filled with entertainment for all ages, featuring community stalls, a funfair, dynamic dance troupe performances, and a lively mini concert – all set against the scenic backdrop of Lydiard Park.
