Saturdays, July 12 - August 9, 2 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Graduation Show: Saturday, August 16 at 3:15 p.m. (in the DC Improv lounge)
With instructor Chris Ulrich. The Armando is a long form improv structure in which a monologist shares short stories from an audience suggestion that reflects true events or honest experiences. Using the monologist's detailed stories as inspiration, improvisers will be challenged to create a series of scenes and character interactions, exploring the interesting or absurd themes and ideas to discover what is funny about them. This format will challenge you to be a powerful story teller and keen listener in the moment to create a playful, funny world from a story. If you're open to being honest, vulnerable and DFF (down for fun), come play.
Prerequisite: A level 3 improv class or some experience with long-form improv.
