National Visit a Cemetery Day

🪦 Did You Know? 🪦
October 27th is National Visit a Cemetery Day!

It’s a meaningful time to honor those who came before us, reflect on local history, and appreciate the beauty and stories held within our cemeteries. These sacred spaces are more than resting places—they’re open-air museums filled with art, architecture, and rich heritage.

Go on your own, take a friend, or bring the family—it’s a simple way to honor the past and appreciate the stories these spaces hold.

The City of Lansing has three public cemeteries—Mt. Hope, Evergreen, and North—all open to the public from dawn to dusk.

Whether you're paying respects, learning about your community’s past, or simply enjoying a peaceful walk, we encourage you to visit one of Lansing’s historic cemeteries this week. 🕊️
