Wednesday 16th July, 1pm – 4pm
Invisible Light - Lumen Photograms and Alternative Process Prints
This hands-on workshop introduces some of the techniques behind the images featured in the ‘Invisible Light’ exhibition. You’ll be guided through the process of creating beautiful Lumen Photograms using botanicals such as leaves and flowers, on vintage darkroom photographic paper.
We will be exploring a few different Lumen Photogram techniques in this workshop. The beautiful Photograms produced are a form of ‘Camera-less Photography’ and an ‘Alternative Processes’.
Each Lumen Photogram produced is a unique artwork borrowing from techniques developed at the dawn of photography in the 1840s.
All materials are provided, and no prior experience is necessary. You’ll be guided step-by-step by experienced tutor Alan Withington to create your own unique photographic pieces.
Suitable for ages 16+
Free. Donations welcome. Your donation will help us cover the cost of materials.
