Hey culture worker! Are you feeling alone and afraid while the world burns?
Then come and meet us, when we gather around the newly published publication: It’s Too Late. Do It Anyway! A Book about Being a Cultural Worker in the Apocalypse ~ by our dear friend and comrade; artist and activist Cassie Thornton.
It’s Too Late. Do It Anyway! is two books in one, created for cultural workers who want to get off the racial capitalist high-speed-train-to-nowhere and start structuring revolution through collective care.
20PM:
Author Cassie Thornton, alongside local practitioners of The Hologram, will discuss the new book and the mutual aid practice of The Hologram. This practice is one way to collectively process feelings and develop strategies for living in the apocalypse, being too late, and doing it anyway.
Feel free to come with revolutionary wishes as well as practical questions about giving and receiving care in a moment of personal and collective struggle to find mental health on a burning, warring planet.
We will be serving soup & the bar will be open.
We are sharing the afternoon/eve/energy with the release of the publication Støv & Spind by Shekufe Tadayoni Heiberg: reading and introduction Will happen at 5:30 PM.
We very much hope to see you!🖤💙🧡🩷
