Jai Shree Krishna.
Bharat Hindu Samaj would cordially like to invite you to celebrate ASHADI EKADASHI on Sunday 6th July at starting at 10:15 am after the daily aarti.
Ashadi Ekadashi is a very special day for devotees, and one with deep significance. It is the day Lord Vitthal (a form of Krishna/Vishnu) goes into a state of yoga nidra, reclining on the many-headed serpent, shesh naag, at the ksheer sagara (ocean of milk). Significant aspect of Ashadi Ekadashi is the βVariβ. Devotees of Vitthal, known as Warkaris, undertake a long and arduous journey on foot from various parts of Maharashtra, singing Bhajans and Abhangas in praise of Lord Vitthal. This pilgrimage culminates in a grand celebration at the Vitthal Rukmini temple in Pandharpur, where lakhs of devotees gather to worship Lord Vitthal.
This Ekadashi symbolizes surrender to the Divine, and it is believed that observing fasts and chanting bhajans on this day helps cleanse the soul, fulfill wishes, and deepen our connection with God. It is a time of unity, humility, and spiritual awakening, reminding us to live with devotion, compassion, and righteousness.
Let us come together to celebrate this holy day with faith, music, and joy. Your presence will add grace and energy to the event.
