Jurassic Jaunt in Robin Hood's Bay

Join me for this two and a half hour, family-friendly fossil-finding tour of Robin Hood’s Bay with the National Trust.
**PLEASE NOTE: this is a ticketed event for which it is essential to pre-book your place via the National Trust website**
We’ll meet at the Old Coastguard Station in Robin Hood's Bay village for an intro chat, and a chance to look at some of the fossils we might find, before heading down onto the beach.
Picking carefully through the shingle, and looking closely at the bedrock, we’ll discover that Robin Hood’s Bay is a treasure trove for fossil-finders. The walk may be a Jurassic Jaunt, but ammonites, belemnites and devil’s toenails aren't the only ancient creatures we'll look out for. Much-older-than-Jurassic fossils often pop out of the Ice Age clays too!
